sculptor and explorer of the molecular world, is best known as discoverer of amino acid activating enzymes and codiscoverer of transfer RNA. He is a member of the National Academy of Sciences and winner of the Franklin Medal.
  Bert Dodson,
newly minted scientific explorer, is the illustrator of more than sixty books. He is the author of Keys to Drawing, and formerly the creator of "Nuke," a nationally syndicated political cartoon strip.
